norway: fjord fishermen report top quality brisling catch

It is September, and it is fishing time in Norway’s Hardangerfjord, where the brisling population is thriving this year. In fact, by all accounts 2009 looks to be something of a record catch. As the first boats have returned with their rich hauls to Bergen, home of King Oscar, the fish have been declared to be of “super quality”…the best in 10 years. This is of course fantastic news for sardine lovers around the world!
